Looks like a Baja Casa..... by April 24, 2012

Front door, the pulido (smooth polished concrete)  is completed on all the parapets and pillars.

We have floors in the offices!

We have garage doors and scuppers!

Staircase to the roof, outside master bath and winter patio.

Staircase to the roof with scuppers.  Winter terrace on the right (the wall provides north wind protection - this is after all a major winter kiting and windsurfing destination)

The beam will be pulido as well as the parapets.

Face on to the summer terrace.

Outside Lorne's office and the staircase up to the summer terrace.

The summer terrace, stairs down and the beam.

View out the living room window to the summer terrace and the beam and the Sea of Cortez.

My office has finish on the walls and a floor!

Lorne's office also has finish on the walls and a floor!).  The wall finish on both these rooms was done in less than a day!

There is now a place for the fan in the kitchen between the two upper windows.  The center doorway on this wall goes to our bedroom and bath.

View from the kitchen into the living room looking at the beginning of the fireplace wall and the doorway to my office and the guest bath.

View from the summer terrace into the living room and over to the deck outside Lorne's office and the stairway down.

From the summer terrace facing the master bedroom and the kitchen window.  The hot tub will be in the right hand corner.

Looking at the pass-through and the front door from the summer terrace.

The front door and the walkway outside my office to the stairs outside the garage.  There will be a landing and a few stairs sloping down to the driveway.

Looking through the winter terrace pass-through window out the kitchen window and living room window to the summer terrace, and the Sea of Cortez framed by the beam.

Our Baja rental house for the 2011-2012 season.

On April 23rd, 2012 we left our summer home-to-be in Los Barriles, Baja California Sur and headed for our Northern home in Victoria BC Canada.  We will only see pictures now until we return in November, 2012.  I will post some pictures of the ongoing interior construction as we receive them.

Casa Rosenblood - Baja House As of April 4, 2012

The garage now has three block windows for light. This will be handy in case we are huddling down here in the midst of a hurricane.

Where the car will go in the garage.  in the center of the floor is the cistern.  The white pipe you  can see at the back wall will be a water height indicator in the cistern.

Office view and summer terrace.

The beam is in place on the summer terrace.  That's all it is, a beam.   It may provide support to an overhead sun shelter at some point in the future.  The hot tub will be in this corner outside the master bedroom.

View into kitchen, note windows on the high wall for ventilation.

Front door, winter terrace and planter.
